About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Høllen guest harbour lies idyllically in the old fishing village of Høllen in Søgne, Kristiansand municipality, at the mouth of the river Søgneelva. The harbour is a small, well-sheltered guest harbour for smaller boats, surrounded by white southern-Norwegian houses along the picturesque street Høllegada.
The guest berths (two floating pontoons) are reserved in summer for customers of the shop and restaurant on the quay. If you wish to stay overnight, you need to arrange this with Snarkjøp Høllen, the shop right by the quay. Outside the fixed berths it is also possible to anchor just off the harbour.
At the harbour you'll find toilets and a service building with waste bins, as well as shower and laundry facilities. There is fuel for both cars and boats, shore power and fresh water for the boat. Snarkjøp Høllen, which opened in 2025, offers groceries, fishing gear and beach toys, plus a built-in ice cream kiosk. The restaurant on the quay is open in summer with events such as concerts and karaoke during the season.
Just a few steps from the quay you'll find Høllesanden, a shallow, child-friendly sandy beach, perfect for a swim after sailing. The idyllic Høllegada with its white wooden houses is well worth a visit, and from Høllen a ferry also runs to Ny-Hellesund. Tie up, pop into the shop, and enjoy the summer life of this charming guest harbour.
