About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Søby Harbour on Ærø is a sizeable marina divided into three basins. The harbour consists of 3 basins, a shipyard in the western part, a fishing harbour and ferry harbour in the southeastern part, and a marina to the east. The Industribassin (industrial basin) forms part of this harbour complex, and the harbour has room for a total capacity of 225 boats.
In the approach and in the Industribassin, the depth has been changed to 4.8 m. Every morning and evening the harbour's fee collector walks the piers to settle harbour dues. Stay four nights and get one night free. Motorhomes are welcome at Søby Harbour and can use all the harbour's facilities, and there are new motorhome pitches with power posts, centrally located in the harbour.
At the harbour you will find shore power, fresh water, showers, toilets, a washing machine and fuel. The toilet building is in good condition, and next to the marina you will find grassy areas with tables, benches, and a barbecue site with a kitchenette. The harbour also offers wifi and a small grocery store, and there is a restaurant and a fast-food place by the marina, and a café, a convenience store and a bakery in the town.
East of the marina is a child-friendly sandy beach with a bathing jetty, which has been awarded the Blue Flag. At the fishing harbour you can buy freshly caught plaice from one of the fishermen. The free bus leaves every hour for Ærøskøbing or Marstal.
