About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 27 September 2026Ærøskøbing Harbour lies centrally, almost in the middle of the small town on the island of Ærø, and is divided into two parts: the old harbour, which can be entered by larger vessels, and a modern marina with room for pleasure craft. The harbour lies sheltered behind Dejrø and Urehoved and is well protected in all weather, and with 370 berths and a depth of around 2.3 metres it ranks among Ærø's three largest marinas.
The harbour has recently been repaired following storm damage in 2023 and once again looks in fine shape. There are no payment machines in the marina – instead, a harbour fee collector visits all the jetties every morning and evening to collect payment in person. A new slipway has also been established as part of a recent expansion of the harbour.
You'll find drinking water on the jetties, and the harbour fee includes electricity, showers and WiFi. The modern service buildings sit close to a playground, a barbecue area and a mini-golf course. Bicycles can be hired right by the harbour, and you can dine at one of the town's restaurants, while a large discount supermarket sits right next to the marina and a bakery selling fresh Danish bread and cakes awaits further into town.
