About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026

Laurenburger Bootsclub is a river marina on the Lahn in Laurenburg, beautifully situated along the riverside path below the castle, the original ancestral seat of Nassau and Orange.

Visiting skippers can moor at the club's guest berths, which often have electricity available. The berthing fee is a flat 10 € per day started, paid via a registration form dropped in the club's letterbox. Coin-operated meters provide power at the two guest berths. The season runs from 1 April to 31 October. The guest berths are reserved for boaters staying overnight - not for short stops such as cycling trips or dining visits. At river kilometre 102 there are also two free municipal jetties for shorter stays.

When club members are present, you can take on drinking water (100 l for 1 €). Next to the club's two caravans on the meadow there is a barbecue area with firewood beside it. Laurenburg also has a boat launch and haul-out point, run by the Jaqueline Buch family. In the evening the riverside promenade is lit with coloured lights along about 1.5 km.

In the village you'll find the hotel and restaurant 'Zum Lahntal' along the riverside path upstream, and a snack stand on the Lahnwiese. A car filling station (Autohaus Herpel) is about 250 metres downstream on the right bank, where fuel can be collected in canisters.
