About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Mellerup Bådelaug is a small, cozy marina in Randers Fjord, located just north of the ferry dock for Denmark's smallest car ferry, which crosses the fjord between Mellerup and Voer. The harbour lies within a protected Natura 2000 area with rich birdlife and offers berths for both larger boats and dinghies.
Access to the harbour is via a marked channel. The harbour is a member of the Free Harbour Scheme, and there is a slipway for boat trailers at the end of the south breakwater. Electricity and water are available at all the pontoons, along with free internet access.
The marina has a mast crane, public toilets with access to an accessible shower, and parking is available on site. In summer, the Ferry Café is open every weekend, and there is a picnic house with benches and tables right down by the fjord.
From here you can watch the ferry Ragna on its short crossing of the fjord, and to the north you can see Kanaløen, known for excellent herring fishing in spring. The area also offers fine recreational fishing for sea trout and salmon in Randers Fjord. Moor up in this idyllic little harbour and enjoy the nature, the fjord views, and the peaceful atmosphere.
