About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Uggelhuse Jollehavn is the village's own small harbour on the south side of Randers Fjord, in the old fjord fishing village of Uggelhuse. Uggelhuse lies on the south side of Randers Fjord, and the old fjord fishing village has about 450 inhabitants. The harbour differs from the nearby private Uggelhuse Marina, since the jollehavn is the village's own harbour, where all residents of Uggelhuse are entitled to keep a boat and go out fishing from. The harbour, which cost 1.4 million kroner, was celebrated at an opening festival in good weather with cheerful local involvement.
If you walk from the harbour along Engvej, you can reach the T-shaped jetty at the end, from where you may be lucky enough to see large coasters sailing close by. At the T-jetty, just before the Marina, there is a small shelter site for overnight stays or a break, and walking a little further along Engvej you reach Uggelhuse Marina, where there is a toilet. In summer there is extra life around the reed beds: during the summer months large flocks of starlings gather to roost in the reeds about an hour before sunset. Along the shore, old gear recalls the past, where old fish-trap poles still stand as a reminder of the former fishing settlement, while eel is now a protected species.
