About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Michiel de Ruyterhaven lies in the centre of Vlissingen on the busy Westerschelde and is a well-sheltered home harbour for around 90 permanent berth holders as well as hundreds of visiting yachtsmen during the summer season.
Approach is via the Westerschelde, where you can listen on VHF channel 14 at the Vlissingen entrance. Before reaching the marina you pass through a flood barrier (keersluis) that is always open except in winter; the sill in the lock lies 3.30 m below NAP, and in the period from 2 hours before to 2 hours after low water the depth can drop below 1.80 m, so it is wise to check the water level with the harbour master beforehand. The guest berth rate is 2 euros per metre including VAT, excluding tourist tax.
The marina offers free wifi to all guests – the code is printed on the harbour receipt or available from the harbour master. A professional yacht service is based at the marina, handling maintenance and repair of pleasure craft, and Brasserie Evertsen is located at the harbour.
From the marina it is walking distance to Vlissingen's town centre, shopping centre, boulevard and beach, and you can also visit the Muzeeum, Leguana or the cinema. Moor in this calm, sheltered harbour and enjoy the unique view over the Westerschelde.
