About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Jachthaven Breskens lies at the mouth of the Westerschelde on the Zeeuws-Vlaanderen coast, close to the Belgian border – an ideal base for trips to France, inland Flanders and the Dutch Delta area. The marina has 580 permanent berths and 100 guest berths, attracting both sailing and motor yachts with good facilities.
The floating pontoons are wide, and water and electricity (220V) are available at the berths. The sanitary buildings offer showers and toilets for men/women plus a disabled toilet.
The marina also has a bar with dining, a slipway, free wifi, ample parking, a playground, bicycles for trips to the supermarket, and separated waste containers. At the southern breakwater near the harbour entrance you'll find the fuel berth with diesel and petrol as well as a facility for pumping out waste water and bilge water; the key to the chemical toilet dump station can be collected from the harbour masters. There is also a laundry with washing machines and dryers.
Around Breskens there are lovely cycling routes with views over the sea, dunes and polders, and the villages of Groede, Nieuwvliet, Sluis and Cadzand as well as the Het Zwin nature reserve are within reach. The cities of Brugge, Knokke and Gent are also close by, just across the border. Moor at one of the 100 guest berths and explore both the marina's facilities and the Flemish border region.
