About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Nexø Harbour is Bornholm's largest fishing harbour and today also serves as a modern trading and marina port that retains its traditional coastal character. The harbour sits right in the centre of Nexø, and its three northernmost basins, together with the old dry dock, form the only major port in Denmark built of sandstone quarried from the local bedrock.
Visiting yachters are welcome throughout the harbour, which offers around 125 guest berths along 2,870 metres of quayside. Depths at the quays range from 3 to 5 metres, with the greatest depth found in the northern "Trafikhavn" and in the large southern basin by the boat lift. Note that the harbour has no VHF radio, but can always be contacted by phone or email before arrival; anchoring is prohibited in the approach channel and along the leading line. Guest berth prices start from 205 DKK per day for boats under 10 metres, rising with vessel size.
The northernmost basins feature newer facilities for visiting yachters, including a laundry, a barbecue area and a smoking oven, plus free wifi. The harbour also provides shore power, fresh water, toilets and showers, pump-out facilities for boats, fuel, a slipway and a crane – including Bornholm's only boat lift, capable of hauling vessels up to 650 tonnes. There is also a chandlery, bike rental and a waste station where sorting is required.
The harbour gives direct access to Nexø's town centre, surrounded by restaurants, cafés, shops, museums and craft workshops.
