About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Nordsee Yacht Club Neßmersiel runs a cosy small marina with 60 berths right in the middle of the Lower Saxon Wadden Sea, at position 53°41'20''N 7°21'39''E.
The harbour dries out at low tide, and boats then rest in soft mud; the marina is not suitable for boats over 10 m with a draught greater than 1.20 m. The narrow approach channel is used by commercial shipping, which has right of way, so do not enter if a ferry is in the channel. There are only a few much sought-after guest berths, and it is advisable to contact the harbourmaster in advance to reserve a berth for a few days. Every autumn, usually in mid-October, the crane arrives to lift the boats out for winter.
Sanitary facilities are free for guests, and there is shore power and drinking water at the pontoons. A fuel station, restaurants, a workshop and shopping facilities are located in the immediate vicinity of the harbour.
Opposite the marina lies a bathing and dog beach, and from the newly redesigned harbour you have views of the islands of Norderney, Baltrum and Langeoog. In Neßmersiel itself you can shelter in a covered adventure world during bad weather. At normal speed you can reach Baltrum in about 30 minutes, and Norderney or Langeoog in 1.5-2 hours. Tie up, take in the view of the islands, and stroll the short distance to the beach.
