Baltrum Hafen

Baltrum Hafen is a small sailing and motorboat marina on the eastern side of the harbour basin on the car-free island of Baltrum, the smallest of the East Frisian Islands in Lower Saxony's Wadden Sea. The marina is run by the Baltrumer Boots-Club, founded in 1967, and has room for around 70 sail and motor boats of varying sizes.

You can approach the harbour via several Wadden Sea channels from east, west and south; the harbour partly dries out at low tide, but under normal conditions it can still be entered and left. There are just under 50 guest berths (up to a maximum boat length of 12 metres) out of roughly 70 berths in total. The berthing fee is charged per calendar day and starts from 15 EUR for boats up to 7 metres, rising with boat length. The visitor's tax is paid separately online through the Baltrumer Kurverwaltung.

Shore power and fresh water are available at the pontoons, and the well-kept sanitary building offers free showers for visiting sailors as well as toilets. Waste disposal is included in the berthing fee, and there is a barbecue area by the clubhouse that visiting sailors may also use. Laundry machines are also available in the harbour area.

It's only a 5-10 minute walk to the island village, where you'll find a grocery store, a pharmacy and a wide range of restaurants and eateries.
