Ramsö gästhamn

Ramsö guest harbour lies on the island of Ramsö in the Koster archipelago, south of Sydkoster in Strömstad municipality, and serves as a small fishing and leisure-boat harbour for the quiet, well-kept archipelago community. The harbour is surrounded by small villages with old, well-preserved summer houses, and the island itself is known for its scenic walking paths.

Boats moor on anchor or alongside the quay; sailboats typically moor in the inner harbour while smaller motorboats lie along the pier just inside the entrance, and it is also possible to moor at the outer pier. The harbour is small and can become crowded during high season, so you may end up rafting several boats out from the quay.

The harbour offers toilets, though only in the form of a dry toilet — there are no showers or flush toilets. Waste disposal facilities are available in the harbour area.

Going ashore, white sandy beaches await on both sides of the island, so you'll always find a sheltered spot regardless of wind direction. A short walk takes you to a small pond with rare red water lilies, and the car-free island offers a peaceful atmosphere. There are no shops, cafés or restaurants on the island, so bring your own provisions. Moor at Ramsö and experience this rarely visited, authentic island in the Koster Sea.
