Rossöhamn

Rossöhamn is a small municipal guest harbour on the island of Rossö south of Strömstad, beautifully situated in the old fishing sound between Rossö and Rundö. The harbour is run by Strömstad municipality and carries a strong sense of local heritage from its days as one of Sweden's major lobster trading centres.

You can book and pay for your berth in advance through the municipality's online service. At pier A there is a septic tank facility for pumping out holding tanks at the bookable berths.

At the harbour you'll find a café and a small grocery store, as well as the Kosterhavet's Entré Rossö Hamncafé, offering a restaurant with a full liquor licence. In summer the Rossöbaren also opens on the pier, and down by the beach there is a grill area.

From here it's a short walk to one of the entrances to Kosterhavet National Park, with an exhibition on the sea and the history of lobster fishing. The Västra Rossö and Kockholmen nature reserve is within walking distance, offering rocky shoreline, old pine forest and a popular swimming beach.
