About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Ringkøbing Jollehavn is a small harbour basin that belongs to the municipally owned Ringkøbing Havn and lies southeast of the harbour's three other basins – Ny Havn, Gamle Havn and Marinaen. The harbour is situated at the northern end of Ringkøbing Fjord and is used, among others, by leisure boaters within the maritime setting of this old market town.
Approach to Ringkøbing Havn runs through the Kammersluse lock at Hvide Sande, across Ringkøbing Fjord and then along a roughly 20-metre-wide channel of about 0.6 nautical miles, leading in a north-easterly direction from the deep fjord water into the harbour; the channel has a depth of 2.5 metres. The maximum vessel size able to enter the harbour is a length of 100 metres, a beam of 15 metres and a draught of 2.5 metres. A speed limit of 3 knots applies within the harbour area, and the channel's eastern side is marked with green poles while the western side is marked with red poles.
