About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Sagesund is a small village in Tvedestrand Municipality in Agder, located on the shore of the Oksefjorden along County Road 411, about 6 km southeast of the town of Tvedestrand. The harbour is run by Fjordsenteret, which has operated a marina here since the 1960s, today combining a shop, workshop, storage and offices on the land side with a marina featuring fuel pumps and a small shop facing the water.
According to the municipality's planning documents, the marina is open all year with a card-payment machine, while the attached kiosk is open during school holidays. No official information on VHF channel, entrance depth or the number of guest berths has been found, and one harbour guide notes that the site is no longer used as an overnight marina for guests.
Ashore you'll find toilets, showers, fresh water, shore power, a washing machine and dryer, a waste/environmental station, petrol and diesel, a slipway and boat ramp, a crane/mast crane, and a kiosk. Fjordsenteret also operates as a boat dealer and workshop offering chandlery items and engine service, with parking available at the site.
Around Sagesund you'll find a sports arena with tennis courts and a beach volleyball field, and the fjord itself is excellent for waterskiing and wakeboarding as well as quieter activities. In summer the local population at least doubles and the place comes alive – head to Sagesund to experience the lively summer atmosphere on the Oksefjorden.
