About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Sandholm Havn is a small, cosy dinghy harbour located at the end of Nørhedevej down to Nissum Fjord. The harbour offers shelter from westerly winds and lies on the southern side of the fjord in an area with several summer cottages.
Recreational fishermen are often found here, and the fjord has a suitable depth with a sandy, firm bottom right by the harbour, providing good swimming conditions. The site is one of only two places in Nissum Fjord used for windsurfing - the other being in Thorsminde, which is also popular among kitesurfers.
The harbour has a playground where children can play while you enjoy a packed lunch in the idyllic harbour setting.
East of the small fjord harbour, the slopes stretch down to the fjord's edge - a landscape feature unique to this spot, marking the northwestern end of Skovbjerg Bakkeø. Come and experience the idyllic atmosphere by Nissum Fjord.
