About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Harpøth Havn is a small fjord harbour on Nissum Fjord in Lemvig Municipality, established in 2001-2002 by the Harpøth Bådelaug boating association. The harbour has room for a number of boats, and before it was built the boats used to lie along the shore or at anchor out on the fjord. The harbour has made the fjord's nature more accessible to the public.
The harbour offers a small number of guest berths for visiting sailors. No publicly available information exists on VHF channel, approach depth or guest berth fees, so check conditions on arrival.
At the harbour you'll find two shelters, a packed-lunch hut and picnic tables and benches where you can take a break. There is also an information board about the area and a parking area by the harbour. Note that there is no water or toilet on site, so bring what you need if you're planning a longer stay.
Right by the harbour you can swim in the sailing channel and use the nearby barbecue area – a perfect break during a sailing trip. From here a roughly 4 km marked hiking trail also runs along Nissum Fjord to Damhus Å Havn, through a scenic area within Naturpark Nissum Fjord. Head out into nature, take a swim in the channel, and enjoy the barbecue area at this atmospheric little fjord harbour.
