About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Sporthafen Blücherbrücke is a marina in Kiel, the former finish harbour of the Volvo Ocean Race, located just south of Sporthafen Düsternbrook along the well-known Kiellinie promenade. The marina has around 20 water berths with 3 metres depth, no land berths and no mast crane. The entrance can be used day and night; at night you follow the lit fairway into Kiel and then turn at a right angle into the harbour entrance. The customs berths can accommodate vessels up to 28 metres long and 9 metres wide. Guest berths are allocated solely by the harbour masters, with prices starting from €12.00 per day for boats up to 6 metres; after 5 full days a discount of one day is given. At the pontoons you'll find shore power and fresh water plus free waste disposal. Ashore there are toilets, showers, a coin-operated laundry, a restaurant and a supermarket, as well as WLAN across the harbour area. Right by the harbour is a café with a sunny terrace, and along the Kiellinie you can walk or cycle on a rental bike into central Kiel, about 25 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by bus, with the bus stop right at the harbour. In summer a ferry also runs from Reventlou, 10 minutes away. Berth here beneath the eyes of the state government and stroll straight into central Kiel, or relax with a coffee on the café's sunny terrace.
