About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Sporthafen Seeburg is one of Sporthafen Kiel GmbH's nine marinas and lies right on the edge of Kiel's old town and city centre, with the Kunsthalle directly opposite the harbour. The marina has around 30 berths with a maximum boat length of 14 m and a water depth of 3 m at the pontoons. There are no dry berths and no mast crane at this harbour. Entry is straightforward day and night; at night you first follow the lit fairway towards Kiel before steering into the entrance. Swell can occur with easterly winds. The harbourmaster's office has seasonal opening hours, and the marina is closed from 15 November to 14 March. On the pontoons you'll find electricity and drinking water, plus toilets, wifi, waste disposal (including used-oil disposal) and a restaurant and supermarket nearby. Kiel's city centre is a 10-minute walk away, or reachable by bus lines 41/42 from the 'Kunsthalle' stop right at the harbour. From here you can also visit the Kunsthalle, the aquarium at the Institut für Meereskunde and the opera house, as well as watch cruise ships like the Aida at Ostseekai. Moor at one of Seeburg's 30 guest berths and stroll the short distance into Kiel's old town and the new Nordlicht department store.
