Sporthafen Wellingdorf

Sporthafen Wellingdorf is a modern marina in a technology and science business district by Kiel, built on the former largest fish transshipment site in the Kieler Bucht. The marina has around 170 water berths with 2-5 m depth and space for boats up to 14 m in length, and lies sheltered from all wind directions in a basin accessed via the Schwentine river.

Approach is possible day and night: behind the Ostuferhafen you turn left into the Schwentine, and after about 250 m the marina lies to starboard. Guest berths are allocated exclusively by the harbourmasters on site. Prices start from €12 per day for boats up to 6 m and rise with boat length; after 5 full days, one day's discount is given. Electricity, water and waste disposal are free of charge, and a mast crane is available for €18 per lift, along with a slipway.

At the marina you'll find toilets, showers (token-operated), fresh water and electricity at the berths, wifi, a restaurant, as well as a mast crane and a small boatyard with a slipway right next to the marina.

It's about 1 km to the Wellingdorf district, where you can find most supplies. It's a 10-minute walk to the 'Seefischmarkt' bus stop with connections to Kiel city centre in 15 minutes (lines 11, 14 and 60S), and just a 5-minute walk to the Wellingdorf ferry landing served by the Schwentinelinien.
