About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Stöckter Hafen is an old cargo-handling harbour on the Ilmenau, close to its mouth on the Elbe near Stöckte and Hoopte, which over recent decades has gradually been transformed into a marina with a steadily growing pontoon system and mooring piles for guest and permanent berths.
The harbour does not publish depth figures, a VHF channel, or the total number of berths, but in 2012 new sanitary facilities for guest and permanent boaters were built in the southern part of the harbour, and in 2018 supply and disposal lines (water, electricity and waste) were installed near the Bardowicks joinery.
The harbour is home to the Eckhoff boatyard, which offers winter storage for around 50 boats as well as repairs and expertise for leisure boat owners. From April to October, Gabys Hafen-Imbiss runs a grill stand serving food and drinks, and the harbour also hosts a furniture workshop and a small art gallery, Atelier Zeitreich.
Nearby you'll find the museum ship 'Ilmenau', a historic 1899 motor barge, as well as Gasthaus Sievers, where the Frank Lochte sailing school holds courses. Moor at the new pontoons and stroll past the museum ship 'Ilmenau' and the small gallery while enjoying the view over the harbour basin.
