About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Venø Havn is a small, cosy marina on the island of Venø in the western part of the Limfjord, close to Struer. The harbour was established by the island's fishermen and farmers over 100 years ago, and although the fishing heritage is still well preserved, it is sailing boats that dominate the scene today. The harbour has around 60 berths.
When approaching, follow a course of 51° NE using the leading marks by the slipway, and the fairway is dredged regularly, though a sandbar can sometimes appear off the groyne. The water depth at the harbour is 2-2.5 metres. Harbour dues are 120 DKK for boats under 10 metres and 150 DKK for boats over 10 metres in length.
Havnehuset serves as the harbour office, café and kiosk offering local specialities and kiosk goods, and this is also where you'll find wireless internet. There are toilet and shower facilities, several barbecue areas and picnic tables freely available to guest sailors. The harbour also has a mast crane, slipway, electricity, bike rental and a sailors' lounge with kitchen facilities and a small book-swap library.
From the harbour you have easy access to Venø's beautiful nature with bathing beaches and good walking or cycling routes. Denmark's smallest church, Venø Kirke, is located on the island, and the old car ferry Venøsund has a permanent berth in the harbour with a small exhibition about its history. Come alongside at Venø Havn and experience the small island's special atmosphere and maritime heritage.
