About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Vikebygd Motorbåtforening runs a small guest harbour in the heart of the village of Vikebygd, situated along the Ålfjorden in Vindafjord municipality, Rogaland. The motorboat association was founded in 1968 and now has more than a hundred members; a stone breakwater shelters the harbour from wind and weather, and the whole area around the marina has been upgraded.
The guest berth is a 36-metre floating pontoon, moved here from the inner part of the harbour. The price per night is from 200 NOK, and the harbour welcomes guests year-round. The association's own clubhouse provides good facilities for guests using the pontoon.
The clubhouse has good toilet and shower facilities for those using the guest berth area, along with access to shore power, fresh water and a waste/recycling station. Right next to the guest pontoon you'll find the swimming beach and a nice barbecue hut free for visitors to use. If your boat needs attention, you can hire the association's own certified slipway/ramp, approved for boats up to 40 feet, with a pressure washer available for haul-outs. In summer a volleyball net is set up, and the harbour has a large diving tower.
It's a short walk to a grocery store and kiosk, and nearby you'll find Klokkargarden Rosemaling og Håndverk as well as Plassabakeriet – a bakery and bakery museum that also serves beer and wine on its own outdoor terrace with its own guest pier. The nearest fuel station is about 15 km away.
