About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Jachthaven de Vlietopper is the home marina of Watersportvereniging Leidschendam e.o., set in a scenic natural area on the Vliet river, easily reached by boat, bicycle or car (via Voorschoten across the blue cycle/foot bridge or via the A4 motorway). The marina has just over 300 berths for boats from 6 to 17 metres, moored alongside finger pontoons or directly at the quay, so you can always step ashore from the side.
The marina grounds are enclosed by an electric gate; members use an electric key while visiting boaters are given a code to open the gate. The area has CCTV surveillance.
The modern clubhouse "De Landvast", opened in 2005, offers snacks and drinks at the bar, with a terrace overlooking the harbour that catches the sun most of the day. The ground floor has toilets and showers (€0.50 per shower) plus a sanitary facility beside the building that is open around the clock. A washer and dryer are available for €5.00 including detergent (arrange with the harbourmaster), and there is a facility to empty and clean a chemical toilet. Shore power is available on the pontoons (blue posts, €0.50 per kWh) along with free drinking-water taps on the jetties (not intended for washing boats). Free WiFi is available in the clubhouse. The grounds also include a slipway for launching and hauling out your own boat, a waste disposal station, parking right by the marina, and covered bicycle storage.
