About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026

WSV de Snap is an association with two marinas in Hardinxveld-Giessendam: the marina "De Knaal" at Kanaaldijk-Noord 1, located at the start of the Steenenhoek Canal and reachable via Gorinchem, Lingehaven, the Linge or the Merwede Canal, or through the Kolffgemaalsluis lock; and the marina "Het Balkengat" on the Buiten-Giessen, reachable via the Damsluis lock from the Alblasserwaard or via the Peulensluis on the northern bank of the Beneden-Merwede.

Just inside the lock at De Knaal lies a fully renovated jetty.

Het Balkengat is located almost in the heart of the municipality and is well suited for outings or grocery shopping.

If you are sailing near Hardinxveld-Giessendam, feel free to stop by one of the association's two marinas.
