About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Sportboothafen Koch is a family-run marina at the northern tip of the Großenbrode peninsula on the Fehmarn Sound, with views of the Fehmarn Sound Bridge and the island of Fehmarn. The marina has over 120 berths for sailing and motor boats and a maximum water depth of 2.50 m; boats with a draft of up to 2 metres can enter. The season runs from 1 April to 31 October.
Guest berths for boats passing through are marked with green signs, so you can quickly spot which berths are free. There's a short distance from the car park to the pontoons and the sanitary building. The marina also offers crane service with a 16-tonne crane and a mast crane for lifting in and out at short notice, plus winter storage in halls or on the marina's own outdoor grounds.
At the marina you'll find a modern sanitary building with toilets, a barbecue area, a children's playground and free loan bicycles for trips ashore. Staff live on site all year round and are known for a flexible, helpful attitude.
The marina lies about 4 km from the Großenbrode exit on the B207, with Lübeck about 50 minutes, Kiel about 1 hour and Hamburg about 1.5 hours away. Moor at one of the green-marked guest berths and enjoy the short walk to the beach, barbecue area and playground.
