YCH Yacht Club Harlesiel

YCH Yacht Club Harlesiel is a club-run marina located in a sheltered inland harbour at the North Sea resort of Carolinensiel-Harlesiel in East Frisia, on the east side of the harbour basin. The marina belongs to the town of Wittmund and lies directly on the North Sea.

After passing through the lock (manned from 7 am to 8 pm), you will find the modern pontoon facility of Yachtclub Harlesiel to port. Guest berths are always available, marked with green signs, and it is recommended to check in with the harbourmaster on VHF channel 17.

Shore power and water are available at the pontoons, and a crane (up to 5 tonnes, 3 metres wide) as well as a mast crane can be used by arrangement. Waste can be disposed of at the clubhouse, which also has the usual sanitary facilities with toilets and showers plus a washing machine and dryer. The large covered terrace has a coffee bar and a self-service fridge with drinks; the clubhouse is usually open on weekends. There is also parking, internet access, a workshop, a slipway and the option to buy provisions, along with a restaurant and ice cream nearby.

From here you can walk to the main village, or take the paddle steamer Concordia II to the museum harbour in Carolinensiel, where numerous historic coastal sailing ships gather every year for WattenSail on the second weekend of August.
