About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Allinge Harbour is a genuine Bornholm harbour, blasted out of the rock, and sits right at the town centre on Bornholm's north coast. The harbour was previously voted Denmark's Most Beautiful Harbour Area.
You can enter the harbour day and night, except when a black ball or three red lights are displayed vertically, signalling that the harbour is closed. The two green lights of the entrance line, together with the front and rear buoys, mark the safe approach, and the gate between the outer and inner basin is closed in strong onshore winds. Guests are welcome throughout the harbour, and in peak season it is so popular that you can walk across the inner basin on the visiting boats. Harbour fees at the municipal harbours on Bornholm are all-inclusive and cover free access to showers, toilets, water and electricity. Buying 5–7 overnight stays gives you 1 free night, 8–13 nights gives 2 free nights, and 14 nights gives 14 extra free nights.
Facilities include showers, toilets, drinking water and electricity at the berth, all included in the harbour fee.
The harbour is surrounded by a lively town setting with good shopping and dining right on the quay, including several smokehouses and fish restaurants. The town's tourist office is now located at the harbour. Each summer Allinge hosts the large political festival Folkemødet, drawing over 100,000 visitors, and in week 28 the harbour comes alive with the annual jazz festival.
