About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Rüstersiel Hafen is located in the Rüstersiel district of Wilhelmshaven, sheltered in the calm Maade, and is the town's only freshwater harbour. The marina has 40 berths and is a popular home port for motor and sailing boats with masts up to 16 metres high; a bascule bridge with five metres of clearance can always be passed by smaller boats. Vessels must pass through a lock, which opens almost daily at high tide according to the lock schedule.
Guest berths cost €1.50 per metre of length per day plus a €2 daily surcharge for electricity and water; a key for the shower and toilet is issued against a deposit from the harbour master.
The marina offers toilets and showers, drinking water and shore power at the pontoons. At the neighbouring Bootswerft Iken boatyard you can haul out yourself on two slipways for boats up to 15 tonnes, and a mast crane with an 800 kg lifting capacity is available for masts, engines and smaller boats.
Near the harbour you'll find a bakery, restaurants, hotels, a hairdresser and a kiosk. Tie up in the sheltered Maade and stroll the short distance into Rüstersiel's cosy offering of bakery, restaurant and kiosk.
