About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Esbjerg Marina is a newly built guest harbour located on the harbour island in the newly constructed port area Esbjerg Strand, in the heart of the Wadden Sea National Park and close to Esbjerg city. The marina is run by the Esbjerg Søsport club, with the maritime centre Lanternen serving as the hub for the harbour's clubs and activities.
Visiting sailors are welcome, and port fees must be paid no later than 2 hours after arrival via the payment machine in the maritime centre, after which you receive a code for the harbour's facilities. With the free-port scheme you can stay for up to 3 days for 25 kroner per day, while toilet and shower use beyond that is charged at the current rate. Prices include water and electricity. There is also a service pontoon that can be used for up to 3 hours for pilotage, refuelling and similar tasks.
The harbour has a well-equipped clubhouse with kitchen facilities, a cosy TV lounge and free internet access. Adjoining the clubhouse are two bathing rooms plus a washing machine and dryer. Around the clubhouse there is a barbecue area and terrace overlooking the harbour, as well as a fish-cleaning station.
It's only about a 15-minute walk to Esbjerg city centre and its shops. Within the marina itself lie two preserved historic vessels, the museum cutter E1 and the motor lightship Horns Rev, both open to the public.
