About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Fanø Lystbådehavn is a small marina on the island's northern east coast, extending south from Nordby's harbour front, with lovely views over the Wadden Sea.
The marina can be approached at any time of day, but you need to account for the tide on the approach. You sail via the dredged channel Slunden, following the leading lights past the ferry quay, then continue along the harbour front to the marina's own leading light. At Fanø Lo, the southernmost red marker sits about 8 metres outside the channel and dries out at low tide, so keep a safe distance. If you arrive at low tide, it's advisable to moor at Langelinie and wait for the water to rise. A guest berth costs from 150 DKK per night for boats up to 10 metres and 170 DKK for boats between 10.1 and 20 metres; payment can be made in cash or via MobilePay.
The marina offers toilets, showers, water on the pontoons, a washing machine, shore power, wifi and a slipway, along with a playground and a grill area with tables and benches where you can enjoy your own food or supplies from the local grocery store. Parking is also available by the marina.
Just a short walk from the pontoons you'll find Nordby's old town with shops, museums, cafés and restaurants. Fanø and the Wadden Sea National Park were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2014.
