About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Nordkoster is an island in the Koster archipelago off Strömstad on Sweden's west coast. The island's guest harbours are found in two places: at Bopallen (Västra Bryggan) and at Vettnet on the island's eastern side.
The guest harbour at Västra Bryggan can accommodate around 120 guest boats, making it one of the larger guest harbours along the northern part of the Bohuslän coast.
Restaurants are located next to the guest harbour at Västra Bryggan, and during summer a grocery shop, "Affärn på Nord", opens within walking distance of both harbours.
From the harbour, marked trails lead you to lovely swimming beaches, heathland and small forests. Kostersundet separates Nordkoster from Sydkoster, and in summer a staffed cable ferry crosses the sound between the two islands. Moor at Nordkoster and set out to explore the island's nature and small eateries.
