About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026

Kampeløkke Harbour is a small private dinghy harbour near Allinge on Bornholm's north coast. The harbour consists of two basins and holds around fifty permanently moored dinghies. The dinghy harbour dates from 1968 and was expanded with an extra basin in 1977.

The entrance is only 315 cm wide and leads directly out to sea, only partly protected by rocks lying outside it. The harbour cannot be entered in strong onshore winds from north and northeast, and the outer basin is difficult to use in northerly or northeasterly gale-force winds. Water depth is 1-2 metres. The harbour does not officially accept guest sailors due to the shallow water, though it is occasionally used by visiting small boats.

Boats can be moved or hauled ashore via one of the harbour's two slipways fitted with winches. New gear boxes, arranged as seating, and a canopy for kayaks have recently been added as part of the 'Havneliv for alle' project.

The harbour sits as a quiet oasis surrounded by wooded rocky outcrops and is undisturbed by traffic – the area can only be reached via a footpath. It is also known as the centre of the annual Folkemøde political festival since 2011. Come and experience the calm, authentic atmosphere of this small Bornholm dinghy harbour.
