About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Kvarnholmen is a peninsula in Nacka Municipality, south-east of Stockholm, bordered by Saltsjön to the north and the Svindersvik bay to the south. On the peninsula's southern side, in the sheltered waters of Svindersvik, a city-close guest harbour and marina has been built, where residents can rent a berth and visiting boaters can moor.
Within walking distance you'll find a green oasis at the eastern tip of the island with playgrounds, boules courts, open lawns and lush wooded paths to explore. A waterfront promenade circles the whole island, passing outdoor restaurants and fishing spots, and a kayak rental lets you paddle straight out into the archipelago. Along the quay the old brick warehouses and grain silos from the mill and industrial era still stand, now converted into housing. The commuter ferry Sjövägen (line 80) calls at Kvarnholmen and takes you into Nybroplan in central Stockholm within minutes, while the Kvarnholmsbron bridge and the Kvarnholmsförbindelsen link connect the peninsula to the rest of Nacka by road.
