About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 27 September 2026Langør Marina is Samsø's smallest and perhaps most atmospheric harbour, hidden behind islets and reefs in the protected Stavns Fjord on the island's east coast. The harbour dates back to the Viking Age and is still used by local bottom-set net fishermen; it sees around 4,000 guest arrivals a year.
The port is only navigable by day, and the approach demands care as sand reefs lie just below the surface – follow the buoys closely along the otherwise deep channel. In the marked fairway from Kattegat to the harbour, speeds up to 10 knots are allowed, while a 5-knot limit applies within the Stavns Fjord Wildlife Sanctuary. North of the line from Lilleøre to Langøre by the green buoy there is a good anchorage, though heavy ground tackle should be expected in winds above 10 m/s as the bottom is soft.
At the harbour you'll find electricity and fresh water at all bridges, and provisioning is available from 1 May to 15 September. There is a 300 kg mast crane, a slipway for smaller vessels, and repairs and diving services can be arranged. Recycling containers are on site for waste, and a bus runs during school holidays.
Surrounding the harbour is the small historic village of Langør, with roots dating back to the Stone Age – today home to only a few permanent residents but retaining its authentic atmosphere. A campsite lies 3 km away.
