About the harbour

Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026

Nykøbing Falster Lystbådehavn was formed through the amalgamation of three clubs – Sejlforeningen Vikingen, Bådklubben Guldborgsund (formerly Motorbådsklubben Guldborgsund) and Fiskeriforeningen for Nykøbing F. og Omegn – which together have around 300 berths spread across Slotsbryggen and the marina. The marina is centrally located in the Guldborg sound, close to the region's largest market town.

A speed limit of 5 knots applies in the harbour, and south of the town stands the King Frederik IX bridge over Guldborgsund, with a clearance of 4.0 m at daily water level. The marina lies beside Slotsbryggen, a new, modern area with shops, cafés and a cinema, and marine diesel is also available here. The clubhouse at the harbour entrance is open in season to everyone, including guest sailors.

On site you'll find shore power, fresh water, showers and toilets, as confirmed by the listing of available facilities: shore power, fresh water, shower, toilet. According to the sources there is also a laundrette, waste disposal, a crane, a slipway, parking, a restaurant, provisions and internet access, in addition to the fuel option noted above. There is also a slipway in the harbour.

Within walking distance a rich cultural scene awaits: on the other side of the Guldborg sound is the Medieval Centre, where you can experience medieval times at close quarters, and the town has an old-town atmosphere with narrow streets.
