About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Østerby Havn on Læsø is a combined fishing and marina harbour located on the Kattegat coast on the eastern side of the island. The marina was inaugurated in 1983 and today has room for 220 boats spread across 5 jetties.
The harbour can be navigated by vessels up to 50x12 metres with a maximum draft of 3.5 metres, and the harbour itself was established in 1905 and later expanded in both 1933 and 1983.
On the marina's jetties there is shore power and water, and at the service buildings you'll find toilets and showers along with a laundry room and a playground for children. There are good shopping facilities close to the harbour, and adjoining the harbour is the fishing and commercial area with, among others, a shipyard and net-binding workshop as well as a grocery store, inn and restaurants.
The beach is close by: the marina is less than 100 metres from one of the island's best swimming beaches. Every year in early August the harbour comes alive for the popular Læsø Lobster Festival in Østerby. Sail to Østerby Havn and experience the maritime atmosphere close to the bustling fishing harbour and the island's best beach.
