About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Sæby Havn is a marina and fishing harbour in Sæby, Frederikshavn Municipality in North Jutland. The harbour has been awarded the Blue Flag, and a major harbour extension south of the current entrance is underway, adding new harbour basins and a water activity area for winter bathers, swimmers and SUP paddlers among others.
The harbour can be entered day and night and is generally easy and safe to approach, but be aware of limited water depth and concrete blocks in the southern entrance channel. In summer the southern quay in the inner harbour is also used for guest berths, adding an extra 100 spaces. A guest berth costs from 220 DKK per day for a boat up to 12 metres, and water is included in the berth price.
At the harbour you'll find showers and toilets in several locations – free to use. There is a diesel pump next to the Lifeboat Station, a washing machine and dryer, free wifi across the whole harbour area, pump-out facilities, shore power and a slipway. Adding to the charm is a maritime-themed playground with a large and a small pirate ship built from recycled materials, a barbecue area, plus a restaurant/café and a kiosk.
The town of Sæby is a pleasant place to explore, with several restaurants to choose from within the harbour area. Berth in Sæby and experience this North Jutland harbour town from the water.
