About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Rudkøbing Lystbådehavn is located at the northern end of Rudkøbing Harbour on the west coast of Langeland, adjoining Skudehavnen, which was built in the 1980s. The harbour is well run and continuously modernised, so its facilities meet the needs of both permanent berth holders and visiting sailors.
The harbour can be entered around the clock, but you should be aware of the strong currents in the area. The entrance is marked with beacons, and due to shallow water these markers must be respected. A speed limit of 3 knots applies inside the harbour basin.
The harbour fee includes bike rental, water, electricity, showers and Wi-Fi, and you can borrow a bike completely free of charge for a ride around Rudkøbing and the surrounding area. There is also a good barbecue area and motorhome parking. The facility offers toilets, showers, electricity, water, a washing machine, a playground and a swimming area. As a visiting sailor you have access to the premises of Rudkøbing Sejlklub's clubhouse, where both the clubhouse and its terrace offer a fine view over Det Sydfynske Øhav (the South Funen Archipelago). If you get hungry, you can eat at restaurant Neptun or restaurant Skudehavnen.
The harbour is close to the old market town with charming streets, shops, restaurants and museums. At the southern end of the harbour you'll find Rudkøbing Badeanstalt, open all year round, and just beyond it a lovely sandy beach – or you can jump straight into the water from the harbour's bathing jetty.
