About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Tärnö Naturhamn is a natural harbour on the northeastern side of the island of Tärnö in the Hällaryd archipelago, the outermost and largest island of the group, part of Karlshamn municipality in Blekinge. The island and its harbour lie within a nature reserve in Sweden's southernmost archipelago.
Mooring at the so-called Seglarbryggan is free of charge, and it offers around 22 berths. The jetty has a depth of about 2 metres, with mooring done using buoys shared between several boats. The innermost berths are shallower than 2 metres and are typically used by smaller motorboats.
A barbecue area is available by the guest jetty, and toilets and showers can be found a short walk inland, near the old community house roughly halfway between the guest jetty and Laxboden.
From the harbour you can walk 20-30 minutes up to the island's old lighthouse on Iberget/Drakaberget, and there's a kiosk on the island selling simple food items and other necessities. In summer, ferries connect Tärnö with both Karlshamn and Matvik. Moor at Seglarbryggan and enjoy what many describe as the best sunset in the archipelago.
