About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Vareler Hafen is a club marina run by WSV Varel e.V. with berths spread across several basins - including Kaimauer, Stichbrückenhafen, Halbmondhafen, Altes Tief, Neues Tief and ZV Kai - with berth sizes ranging from about 6×3 m up to 20×6 m.
Visiting sailors must register via the harbour portal before passing through the lock (Sieldurchfahrt), and guest berths are usually marked with a green sign or assigned by the harbour master. Both a daily and a monthly rate apply for visiting yachts, but unregistered guests are charged a 20% surcharge on the harbour fee if found during checks. Water levels in the harbour can drop without warning, occasionally leaving boats to dry out, and ice can be expected in winter.
Electricity, water and waste disposal are included in the berth fee for occasional use of the boat - bins are provided for small amounts of onboard waste, and shore power is available at the berths. For longer-term use, owners must arrange a flat fee for power, water and waste with the board. Parking is available on the club premises for members and their guests.
Moor at one of the green-marked guest berths, register through the harbour portal, and enjoy a quiet stay in Vareler Hafen.
