WSV de Gors

WSV De Gors is a member-run marina on the river Linge in Arkel, operated by more than 400 members. The large harbour has room for 110 boats up to 12 metres, while the small harbour holds 65 open boats and about 40 rowing boats plus a canoe rack. At the outer jetty there is also space for a few boats over 12 metres, and a trailer slipway is available for day trips for a fee.

The marina is child-friendly and offers shore power (16 A), running drinking water, showers and toilets, pump-out for chemical toilets and holding tanks, a washing machine and dryer, and a waste container for household rubbish. Wifi is available on site, and there is a small crane at the loading quay.

For children there is a playground with various play equipment, a diving board by the Linge, and swimming steps for adults. A green strip surrounds the harbour with picnic tables, and there is also a small library and a tourist information book.

Within walking and cycling distance are the towns of Gorinchem and Leerdam, as well as the Lingebos forest across the river. There is a shopping centre with a supermarket, several eateries, a train connection from Arkel, and a bus stop right around the corner. Tie up at the jetty and enjoy the calm surroundings along the Linge.
