About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Bølshavn is a small, idyllic fishing village on the northeast coast of Bornholm, between Svaneke and Gudhjem, away from the main tourist routes. The harbour is a tiny dinghy harbour used mainly by recreational fishermen, with very limited space and only a handful of berths. The landing pier sits at the end of a long breakwater, and the harbour itself is very shallow, making it best suited to smaller dinghies and daylight sailing only.
Around the harbour you'll find half-timbered fishermen's houses, an inn, and holiday homes, and despite the rocky coastline the place has its own pebble beach, where you can also swim from the pier. The harbour has a toilet as well as tables and benches used by both guests and locals, and there is a small public car park by the harbour.
Bølshavn is a perfect base for a peaceful experience of Bornholm's simple nature. The area invites cycling on the extensive network of bike paths, walking along the coast, or exploring forests and lakes, with the coastal path running right past the village. From here, it's easy to take trips to attractions such as Brændesgårdshaven, NaturBornholm, Gudhjem Art Museum, Rønne, or Svaneke.
Tie up at the small pier and experience the genuine tranquility Bølshavn is known for.
