About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 29 September 2026Nordhavnen is one of the harbour sections of Hvide Sande Havn, located west of the lock on the Jutland west coast in Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality. Hvide Sande Havn is regarded as one of Denmark's most modern fishing ports with good service facilities, and was built in connection with the drainage sluice and the chamber sluice, inaugurated in August 1931. Major expansions and renovations of the harbour took place in 1970-1985 and 2002-2008, including modernisation of unloading facilities and auction conditions for consumer fish. West of the lock, the harbour consists of Sydhavnen with two basins and Nordhavnen, while Østhavnen and Tyskerhavnen lie east of the lock out in Ringkøbing Fjord.
