About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedfrom the harbour's website · 28 September 2026Waddenhaven Vlieland is a Wadden Sea marina on the edge of forest and beach, with berths for around 300 guest boats plus an adjoining working harbour for commercial vessels. The village is a fifteen-minute walk away.
The approach from Harlingen can be demanding due to currents and a so-called 'neer' in front of the harbour entrance - follow the harbour's guidance and keep to the starboard side of the entrance. Harbour depth is 3.80 NAP, dropping to 3.40 NAP near steiger H in the motorboat section. Havendienst Vlieland monitors VHF channel 12. Berths cannot be reserved - the harbourmaster assigns a berth on arrival, or you find one yourself (berth lengths are marked on the posts). The harbour office is open 09:00-11:00 and 15:00-17:00, but you can always pay via the QR code on the pontoon.
The marina offers pump-out for sewage and bilge water (pontoon B), shore power at every berth (included in the fee), fresh water on the pontoons, toilets and showers (coin-operated), a laundrette with three washing machines and dryers, waste containers, a slipway, and a fuel station 100 metres outside the harbour. There's free KPN wifi and a playground. Within the harbour area you'll find the grocery shop 't Havenpunt, cafeteria Ketelbinkie with ice cream and snacks, and restaurant de Dining.
The cosy village of Oost-Vlieland, home to about 1,200 residents, is a fifteen-minute walk from the harbour, and the island offers dunes, beach and forest, perfect for walking or cycling.
