About the harbour
Automatically summarised text: Automatically summarisedvia web search · 28 September 2026Gudhjem Havn is a genuine Bornholm harbour on the island's north coast, blasted out of the granite rock that rises steeply above the harbour, giving the harbour and town a distinct Mediterranean feel. In the eastern harbour, visiting yachters are welcome in all basins, but two quays are reserved for the Christiansø ferry service and the tour boat Thor.
There is usually space for everyone, but capacity is reduced in onshore winds, as the gate between the inner and outer basin closes when the wind exceeds 10 m/s. The guest price includes electricity, water and a shower. At 10 o'clock the atmosphere on the harbour becomes lively, as songs are sung while the first Christiansø departure sets out.
The harbour has good bathing and toilet facilities as well as a laundry, plus a service machine offering up-to-date weather forecasts and codes for showers, toilets and wireless internet. There is also water, electricity and a supermarket near the marina.
The tourist information office is located right on the harbour and gladly assists visiting yachters with information about the town's attractions, including the Oluf Høst Museum by the western harbour. The town offers a wealth of shops, crafts and restaurants, and on the rocks around the harbour you can enjoy smoked herring from the harbour's smokehouse, take a dip in the blue Baltic Sea, or simply enjoy the sunset. Berth at Gudhjem and experience the southern European atmosphere that makes this Bornholm harbour so special.
